Cookies and tracking
This site uses no profiling cookies and no third-party tracking or analytics. No technical or analytics cookies are installed: you can browse freely, with no consent banner.
Browsing data
Like any website, the server that hosts it (Aruba) receives the technical data needed to show you the pages, such as your IP address and the page requested, and may record them in its logs for security purposes. We do not use them to profile you.
Settings saved on your device
The choices you make in the accessibility panel (text size, contrast, “Stop animations”…) are saved only in your browser (local storage): they are not cookies and are never sent to us. You can clear them with “Reset all” or by clearing the site data in your browser.
Requests you send us
The transport request form does not send anything to our servers: it prepares a message that you send yourself with your email app or with WhatsApp. If you choose WhatsApp, the text of the message (including the details you entered) is passed to the WhatsApp app, run by Meta, under its own terms and privacy policy: if you prefer, use email or phone. When you write to us (email, WhatsApp) or phone us, we receive the details you give us: we use them only to reply and to organise the service you asked for, without selling or publishing them. Please give only the information needed to organise the service (how the person can travel), without diagnoses or medical reports.
Why we use your data, and on what legal basis
| What | Why | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Name, phone, email, dates and addresses in a request | To reply and organise the transport or service you ask for | Art. 6(1)(b): steps you request and provision of the service |
| Information on how the person can travel (wheelchair, stretcher…) | To send the right vehicle and crew | Art. 9(2)(a): your explicit consent, given by telling us; you can withdraw it at any time |
| Data for receipts and contributions | Tax and accounting obligations | Art. 6(1)(c): legal obligation |
| Technical browsing data (server logs) | Website security | Art. 6(1)(f): legitimate interest in protecting the site |
Giving us your data is optional, but without contact details we cannot reply or organise the service. We do not use your data for advertising and we take no automated decisions about you.
Who can see it
- The Misericordia’s volunteers and staff who organise the service, authorised and bound to confidentiality.
- The technical providers we use: Aruba S.p.A. (website and email, in Italy). If you choose WhatsApp, also Meta, under its own terms: in that case data may be transferred outside the European Union, with the safeguards provided (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). If you do not want this, use email or phone.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Requests (emails, WhatsApp messages, notes) are deleted as soon as they have been processed, that is once the service has been organised or the request answered. Accounting records (receipts for contributions) for the period required by law, normally 10 years. Server logs are handled by Aruba for its own technical security periods.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a readable format (portability) and withdraw consent already given, by writing to the address below (Articles 15-22 GDPR). We reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
